Levitating marbles Jeff Price is an extremely talented glass blower producing pieces from the fanciful levitating marbles to museum quality Caledonia glassware. The levitating marble is his most popular piece due to it's unique colorations and movement. Jeff got the idea reading about Houdini the magician. Houdini utilized an item similar to the levitating marble in his act. He would come out on the stage, begin the marble levitating. This mesmerizing effect created the diversion which aided Houdini in his slight of hand tricks. All the colors in the marble are hand blown in, creating Jeff's unique works of art. The marble is designed for outdoor use with the windcatcher as shown. We also have a motor available for indoor use. Pictured are a few of them many unique variations of hand blown marbles. |
